Gary Sutherland - CEO

Gary founded NAPLIA in 1998 and has grown it to be a national, boutique agency that specializes in providing professional liability insurance, and related products, to the accounting and financial industries. He oversees all operation and management activities of the company.

Mr. Sutherland is a regular presenter on risk management and insurance for Investment Advisors and other Financial Professionals. He speaks annually at conferences for fi360 and The Center for Due Diligence, both nationally recognized associations for Investment professionals. He has further served on several national panel discussions regarding best practices, claim mitigation and understanding E & O insurance for Investment professionals.

Mr. Sutherland is the “ask the expert” for insurance related questions on several industry web sites. He consults with several National ERISA law firms regarding policy coverage issues and claim concerns. Mr. Sutherland has over 25 years of insurance experience and holds the prestigious designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), an honor attained by only 2% of all insurance brokers.

Tom Schrandt - Vice President

Tom runs the daily operations of Naplia's Pennsylvania office specializing in Errors & Omissions coveage for Investment Advisors, Broker / Dealers, and other financial professionasls.

He started his career in insurance in 1995 and has worked in sales, marketing, and as a financial advisor for some of the largest companies in the industry including Prudential, GE Capital, and Vanguard. Mr Schrandt’s prior experience includes the role of National Sales Manager for the AICPA endorsed Accountants Professional Liability program. He is a well respected speaker providing regular presentations to local and national conferences. 

Frank Tranzilli - Account Executive

Frank is responsible for the direct servicing of new and renewal clients.  He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from DeSales University in Center Valley, PA.  Frank’s entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic inspired him to own and operate several successful businesses during his professional career.  Prior to joining NAPLIA, Frank worked for Accord Health as the Financial Director where his responsibilities included all accounting, billing and payroll services.

Tom Henell - CMO

Tom started his career in professional liability in 1989. He ran the advertising and marketing for several national programs, was instrumental in launching legal professional liability programs in MA, and has earned the prestigious designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC).

His further experience includes working as a Senior Vice President for an international media agency where he worked directly with Fortune 500 companies to develop their online marketing strategies. Tom is responsible for all of NAPLIA's marketing and advertising.
